Richard Raymond "Rocky" Hutchinson, Jr. was born August 14, 1948 to Rosa Lee (Boggs) and Richard Raymond Hutchinson, Sr. He was baptized as a youth at Aberdeen Methodist Church and graduated from Patriot High School with the Class of 1967. Rocky married Pamela Sue Fisk on March 1, 1968 and then entered the US Army on May 29, 1969. He achieved the rank of Specialist E5 and was stationed in Colorado Springs, CO. Rocky was honorably discharged on June 1, 1974. Two sons were born to Rocky and Pam, Richard Lee Hutchinson on April 18, 1971 and William Dale Hutchinson on August 22, 1980. Rocky was employed by Schenley Distillery of Lawrenceburg, IN for 15 years and then by Sun Chemical of Cincinnati, OH until his retirement. Rocky enjoyed working the land on his farm "Rocky Acres" on Searcy Ridge to make a homestead for his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons on the property. He and Pam took pleasure in entertaining many friends and family there. Rocky was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing many rounds with his brother Carl. Spending time with his high school sweetheart Pamela was one thing he loved most. Rocky was a member of the Aberdeen Methodist Church, the Belle River Masonic Lodge #327 and the Rising Sun American Legion Post #59. Rocky attended the Patriot Baptist Church.

Rocky is survived by his loving wife Pam of Patriot, IN, by two sons, Richie Hutchinson of Patriot, IN and Will Hutchinson and his wife Danielle of Patriot, IN; by four grandchildren, Justice, Lucas, Olivia and Ava; by his brother Carl Hutchinson and his wife Betty Shon, of Patriot, IN; by his sister Rose Herrick of Williamstown, KY; by his sister-in-law Linda Fisk, of Patriot, IN and by his brother-in-law David Fisk and his wife Connie, of Patriot, IN. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, by an infant son, by his brother Terry Hutchinson, by his caregiver as a child Margaret Boggs, by his in-laws Bill and Peggy Fisk, by his sister-in-law Penny Fisk and by his brother-in-law Tim Fisk.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, October 4th at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Pastor Mike Jones officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 11 AM - 1 PM at Markland Funeral Home. Burial with military graveside services will be at Eastview Cemetery in Patriot, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the Patriot Baptist Church. Cards are available at the funeral home.
